Happy workers.

Want to know who inspires me? (amongst others) People who are happy at work.
I've ran into a few recently (2 being ttc employees) and I'm so encouraged by their attitude. The other day i was in line for some Mc dicks at breakfast time before work and I overheard this lady at the cash complimenting every customer. "your jacket looks great on you" and then the next customer comes up and as the transaction finishes, she busts out " I love that hair color on you" Like is this lady for real? Then my turn comes up I put my in order and sure enough " you have a great smile you should keep it up"
Like lets be honest its MC DICKS people... no one smiles doing that job unless there high on something. Now assuming she was not high on anything I walked away inspired by this lady and her want to spread kindness. she was choosing to be happy at work and go beyond that and spread it to everyone that came through her cash.

round 2 : Getting on the street car on my way home and having the driver greet me ever so kindly and continue to make my day by making jokes over the intercom the whole way home. How amazing is that?! I can imagine how monotonous that job is and this guy is cracking jokes the whole time.

round 3 : TTC employees on the night shift painting the subway stations and dancing to oldies... they're up all night in a pretty stale environment so they get a stereo slap on some oldies and start dancing while painting. fucking amazing.


All this to say that every bit inspires me to check my attitude as i go into work and with life in general. They're just regular people doing their thing and being happy with wherever they are at. I'm trying to learn from those people. God bless those people.
